[Space Hulk 1e] Flamer Hits and Surviving Blips

Situation I faced 5 minutes ago with @Frank Olson :
GBX
A corridor section of 3 squares with a blip in the center and a Genestealer towards the Heavy Flamer gets hit by the Heavy Flamer.
The Stealer dies.
Due to the flames the blip is not seen and not converted. "As the hit fills the entire section with smoke and flames, Marines may not trace LOS through a square in a burning section."
The blip survives.

In the Stealer turn the blip converts. The resulting Stealers can move about freely.

Any objections on this interpretation?

The rules say:
"pieces cannot enter a section which has taken a heavy flamer hit until after the heavy flamer marker is removed in the Endphase. Surviving pieces within the section can move about freely, but no others may enter."
As the blip was in he is free to move by RAW, but may he convert without the placed Stealers being affected by the flames. The rules do not address that point specifically.

I think that's totally fine. We've always played it that way. The three Stealers are actually physically there after all, the blip is just the Marine's representation of them on the scanner until revealed.
