2022: Legacy Crew: Space A-Team Sign UP

So it looks like it will be Space A-Team this year. That's pretty flexible, but we will have some specific needs: the leader, the face, the heavy, and the pilot. Other useful rolls could include a tech specialist or sniper. I aim to watch some or all of it again as inspiration, but it seems there were also two journalists, Amy "Tripple A" Allen and Tawnia Baker, and late additions Tia Fullbright and Frankie "Dishpan Man" Santana. Other notewortyhy guests include Boy George (thank you Sleepysod), Refrigerator Perry, Hulk Hogan, Rick James, Isaac Hayes, and many many more. (Here's some possible inspiration.) As folks sign up I'll add your names to this top post.

Additional information: The spot colors this time are light brown and blue. Bases should be simple, round black bases that can be easily removed should the winner wish to rebase for uniformity. Thanks to everyone who is participating!

SymphonicPoet: Space Face
Sleepysod: Space Murdock
inchmurrin: Space Specialist
epicsatsuma: Mr. Space Heavy
Bluey Zarzov: TBD (Possibly Space Hannibal)
EricF: The Space Van
Loose Loser: Space Special Guest

I have a pilot from the rogue trader adventurers range that I would happy to paint up as ‘Space Murdock’

^I'll put you down for space tech specialist. You thinking some kind of guest starring appearance? I love it when a plan comes together!

^Will do! It's Bad Space Attitude for epicsatsuma! (I use way too many exclamation points around here, but with Mr. T! you kind of need more!!!)

Not sure if I have anything suitable to add to this... unless I can somehow find a shed full of tools and build a space cabbage launcher.

^A space cabbage launcher would be splendid! But I don't think you have to be that elaborate. We do still very much need a Space Hannibal, but if you don't want to go that route you could add an extra. Maybe a civilian the team rescued who's tagging along. Maybe a reporter. Maybe a specialist of some kind they recruited for a particular mission who just stuck around. There was a core four, but there were always extras. I don't want this to be limited to four people. That'd be a crying shame.

Would like to participate but my knowledge of characters from A-Team is limited to the geezer with the cigar, beef with irokese and GMC van. Also, I don't know I have any human miniatures but since they're in space, I guess aliens are go also?

^I'd say it's kind of a theme that they're a bunch of very talented misfits, so aliens would be fine. Even folks that shouldn't normally get along. (There's always tension between BA and Murdoch in particular.) A genestealer might be a bit of a stretch, but even a hybrid might work. They are officially outlaws, after all. And I'd think about any other alien or mutant would probably work fine. This is our story of crazy troubleshooters doing good while running away from the local legal authorities. I'll put you down for a TBD. You want maybe a Space Alien Specialist?

I know you want to do this. I can feel the paint in you. So how do I help you get past that last small hurdle? I always struggle with the fantasy themes because I don't really have many fantasy miniatures floating around. In one case I removed some exhaust pipes from one of Curtis Fell's sort of steam punk guys and said "Hey, chaos warrior! We're good." Maybe you do mostly fantasy and space is harder? This being the kind of world we operate in, I would think most fantasy or historical figures would work nicely once you slap on a gun and some tech bits. If you feel up to it maybe you could go so far as doing an arm swap to add some cybernetics. Nothing says Oldhammer like someone in a doublet with a power claw.

Sure, that's great. I'm in and I'll have something for sure. Hybrid sounds nice, with bio or machine of some sort, discreet of course.

Tia was apparently the half Vietnamese half American daughter of one of the team's adversaries, so a hybrid seems right on point! :)

Tia seems to have been in precisely one episode, but somehow she rated a discussion on Wikipedia. She was played by Tia Carrere. (I think maybe they approached her to become a regular, but she had contractual obligations on a soap at the time.)

Anyway, why you thinking she'd end up lost? (Apart from the user name, that is.) Has the post been running particularly badly between the US and your home? For what it's worth I've never had an incident yet, but this is all fun so I'd be inclined to just chalk a postal losses up to bad luck if it were to happen and move on with life. These little lead people mean a lot to us, but in the grand scheme of things our collective dreams probably don't amount to priceless antiquities. They can be replaced in a pinch. (Maybe even the Oderus Urungus with the specially flocked sack from 2015, though that would be harder than most.) I don't even recommend shelling out for special insurance when people ship to me. Regular first class parcel postal service seems fine.

I'll put you down as a distinct maybe on a possible Space Tia. Call it optimism on my part. ;)

Unless you want to do the old fart with the cigar. (Hannibal. And we do still need him.)

I'd submit this guy as Hannibal, but he is currently the leader of my DeLaque Necromunda gang.
