Hi,
:? how did you come to value these miniatures at the listed prices?

J

Me personally, from two years of checking ebay every single day and seeing what the items average out from. We'll never agree 100%, I disagree that Stompa v1 (lead) is worth £8 UK because I've consistently paid £6 or less when buying them but that might just be me getting lucky. :) Again, I know that a stripped 3rd edition Citadel Undead metal chariot goes on average for £18 but I've never paid more than £4 for one because I've been patient buying them. If you disagree with some of the prices then obviously post what you think things are worth. :)
This goes right back to what I said previously about the subjectivity of pricing.

An item listed with a correct title that includes solid keywords & is posted worldwide is going to go for max value. On the flip side, an item with a generic title that is posted locally will grab far less. The best you can shoot for is a vague range.
Include what you scored at garage sales, flea markets & Craigslist and you would see even more variance.

The list is more an illustration of how much you should expect to pay for an individual item that is

- if you manage to get it cheaper well done. For my part I wouldn't pay the price in the list but at least now I know when something rare is listed at well over its market value.

To add to the Epic section:

Bombard Mk1 - £2
Bombard Epic40k - £3-4 depending on side armour
Bombard EpicA - £3
Hellhound Mk 1 - £1
Hellhound Epic40k - £3-4 depending on side armour
Hellhound EpicA - £2-3
Thunderbolt Fighter Epic40k - £2-3 each
Thunderbolt Fighter Forgeworld - £12-15 each

As an aside I forked out £15 each for the Forgeworld Thunderbolts yesterday just to finish an army off. Yes, it was painful paying that much for them..

Figure this is the right place to ask:

What is an "appropriate" (I.E. fair or common) price to pay for the rarer squat figures?

Squat servitor?
Adeptus mechanicus squat?

I seen both the Adeptus Squat and Servitor go for around £10 - £15

I paided about £5 each for mine though, just got to hunt it out.

Thanks Chico.

A more general question --

When folks have identified prices on this and the other "price guide" threads, is the assumption that this is the "total" price, I.e. ins the quoted price inclusive of a reasonable shipping cost?

Or is the assumption that "this is how much one should pay for the item in question alone"?

Item alone usually and in a fair few cases the prices I am seeing is quite a good price too, either that or I keep getting stiffed on my purchases.

My Epic prices are item only because P&P is obviously variable and you can end up combining as well.

Epic Forgeworld prices are still nuts, I saw two Forgeworld Thunderbolts without packaging or AI bases go for £31 each a couple of days ago! :o

Indeed. I sold 10 Forgeworld Grey night marines about a year ago (10 individual resin 6mm marines). The price? £60!

Check the bid history - classic bidding war in progress. 2 relatively new users desperate to have it either because they feel they are being slighted by the other bidder or they are suffering from the last one ever syndrome.
